Forest Pooky (FR)
Based in Lyon and raised in the French punk scene, Forest Pooky has spent over 15 years carving out a singular path as a folk songwriter with a rowdy heart. After cutting his teeth in the Pookies, he built a devoted following by playing anywhere with room for a pair of Converse, sharing bills with Evan Dando, Frank Turner and Joey Cape. His 2023 album Violets Are Red, Roses Are Blue And Dichotomy, a decade in the making, sets Beach Boys and Beatles melodies against the rhythmic drive of Rancid and Hot Water Music. Live, that blend of warmth, humor and raw power makes him a thrilling act.
